Dr Kate Dunn underwent her undergraduate degree at Adelaide University, and completed her physician training in Melbourne at the Alfred Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Barwon Health. Kate has completed additional training in palliative care whilst at The Alfred Hospital, and worked as a clinical oncology fellow at Peter MacCallum in clinical trials in lung, head and neck and gynaecological cancers, with exposure to clinical trials and immunotherapy.

She is a current VMO at both Barwon Health and Ballarat Health Services, and continues as a clinical research fellow at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, where she was recently awarded a competitive grant from the Victorian Cancer Agency for her work in quality indicators.

She is a part of the Breast Cancer Trials Group, Australian and the New Zealand Gynaecology Oncology Group, and is also a committee member for the EVIQ reference committees for breast and gynaecological cancers. Kate treats all solid organ malignancies, but has a particular interest in breast, gynaecological and head and neck cancers. She is a strong advocate for personalised, holistic compassionate cancer care.
