Dr Kawa Haji

Dr Kawa Haji is a consultant cardiologist subspecialising in coronary and valvular heart disease. His interests include general cardiology, heart disease risk assessment and coronary artery stenting. He is also a clinician researcher with a deep interest in improving the delivery of cardiology services to the public.

Kawa completed his cardiology training at Western Health, Royal Melbourne Hospital and Ballarat. He then did further sub-speciality training at Western Health and Alfred Health. He completed his PhD thesis at the University of Melbourne and Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute. His research focused on novel cardiac imaging techniques. He has published his work in high-ranking international journals and has presented his work at both international and national conferences.

Dr Haji performs procedures at Epworth Richmond Hospital, Western Health and Alfred Health.
