Our Epworth Freemasons physiotherapy team is here to support you throughout your pregnancy, during early postnatal period on our ward and over the weeks and months once you return home.
Staffed by experienced pelvic health physiotherapists with post-graduate qualifications, our physiotherapists specialise in diagnosing and treating a range of pregnancy and postnatal related conditions including:
- Pelvic floor dysfunction including continence issues and pelvic organ prolapse.
- Pelvic girdle pain.
- Back and musculoskeletal pain.
- Abdominal muscle separation.
- Birth preparation.
- Exercise in pregnancy.
- Safe return to exercise.
A physiotherapist will visit you in the days following birth from the comfort of your own postnatal room to discuss recovery strategies. The physiotherapist will provide information on pelvic floor exercises, returning to activity, bladder and bowel health and retraining your abdominal muscles.
Our pelvic health physiotherapy clinic is now open for bookings. You are able to book in for an individual physiotherapy assessment at any time during your pregnancy or following birth. See available dates and times below.
