Case Studies
Outline case 1: (Dr Ronan O'Donovan) – raised inflammatory markers FI – goals of admission / selection of appropriate subspecialists and coordination of investigations/ ownership of patient/ discharge and follow up/ communication.
Outline case 2: (Dr Ronan O'Donovan) – discussion of management dilemma of young female with established gastroparesis, portacath and PEJ in situ, on morphine from a private physician for chronic pain syndrome, malnutrition, prev bacteraemia with environmental organisms.
Outline case 3 (Dr George Heriot) - a young woman with a plurality of diagnoses and specialists but a unitary explanation – the luxury and importance of inpatient assessment.
