PRESENTATION 1: One Therapy, Many Diseases: Pulmonary Rehab’s Expanding Role
Dr Sameer Karnam - Respiratory Physician / Pulmonologist

This presentation will explore the growing body of evidence supporting pulmonary rehabilitation across a spectrum of lung diseases and clinical scenarios. While pulmonary rehabilitation has long been established as a cornerstone in the management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), recent studies have demonstrated its benefits in patients with asthma, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung diseases, restrictive lung conditions, lung cancer, and even pulmonary hypertension.

PRESENTATION 2: Pulmonary Rehabilitation – Beyond “chest physiotherapy”
Francine Alevizos – Epworth Physiotherapist

This presentation will discuss the process of the multidisciplinary patient assessment, goal setting and the exercise and education components of pulmonary rehabilitation.

Learning outcome - Outline benefits of pulmonary rehabilitation for patients with chronic lung diseases.
