Overview
15,531 Australians are told they have bowel cancer each year that’s 299 a week, including 1,716 people under the age of 50. In 2021 Bowel cancer claimed the lives of 5,350 Australians (2,828 Males and 2,512 females), including 315 people under the age of 50. Bowel cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in Australia, and we have one of the highest rates of bowel cancer in the world.
