Owen commenced at Epworth HealthCare in January 2024. Prior to his move to Epworth, Owen was the Director of Intensive Care Services at Eastern Health, where he successfully implemented multiple clinical services, led clinical and organisational reforms including academic partnerships, data and analytics driven research and quality initiatives, and championed medical specialist engagement in healthcare management.

He has dual fellowships with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the College of Intensive Care Medicine. He is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has post graduate qualifications in Health Management.
