About the program

When you join our Graduate Support Program for Enrolled Nurses you become part of a supportive, people focused environment. Throughout your 12-month journey, commencing in February or July, you will strengthen your clinical skills, develop confidence and establish a strong sense of professional belonging.

The program operates across all Epworth hospitals and includes two clinical rotations across a wide range of specialty areas. You will have the opportunity to select your preferred hospital in your application. With flexible options available, you can shape the program to meet your personal and professional goals.

You will have opportunities to rotate through areas such as:

Your graduate program includes an extensive orientation and supernumerary period, as well as a structured learning program that includes graduate development days. The overall program provides opportunities to consolidate knowledge, share experiences, and build connections with fellow graduates.

Epworth locations

  • Epworth Camberwell

    Located in Camberwell and close to public transport, our hospital provides care for patients with a wide range of rehabilitation needs, including orthopaedic, cardiac, bariatric, oncology, neurological, multi‑trauma, and general medical conditions. Our clinical approach focuses on individualised treatment and collaborative, multidisciplinary decision‑making to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.

  • Epworth Eastern (Box Hill)

    Located in Box Hill, Epworth Eastern is a state-of-the-art facility with 15 theatres and expanded Critical Care services. Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology, urology and endoscopy services. We deliver positive, meaningful, and sustainable impact on the health and wellbeing of our community.

  • Epworth Freemasons - Albert Street and Victoria Parade (East Melbourne)

    Located in East Melbourne, close to public transport and the CBD, Epworth Freemasons provides a range of world-class health services. As one of Victoria's leading maternity hospitals, Epworth Freemasons specialises in women’s and men’s health services including breast and gynaecological surgery, endoscopy and urology.     Located adjacent to Deakin University’s Medical School in Waurn Ponds, Epworth Geelong is an environment providing health care and education to meet the needs of the expanding population of Geelong and Southwest Victoria. Our hospital features cutting-edge medical technology, whilst offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical and rehabilitation services.

  • Epworth Hawthorn

    Located in Hawthorn and close to public transport, our hospital provides care for patients with orthopaedic and multi trauma rehabilitation needs. Our clinical approach focuses on individualised treatment and collaborative, multidisciplinary decision‑making to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.

  • Epworth Richmond

    Located in Richmond, close to public transport and the CBD, Epworth Richmond provides a range of world-class health services. Our Richmond site is a fast-paced and dynamic teaching hospital, providing services within a wide range of medical and surgical specialties and treatment options such as cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology, urology, paediatric and emergency services, utilising the latest in technology.

Eligibility requirements

Before starting the program, you must:

  • Be on track to complete a Diploma of Nursing
  • Be eligible for AHPRA Enrolled Nurse registration before the program start date
  • Hold Australian citizenship, permanent residency, New Zealand citizenship, or an appropriate working visa with unrestricted part-time work rights
