Associate Professor Alex Polyakov is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Fertility specialist practicing in East Melbourne. He graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2000. While undertaking specialist training in O&G, Alex completed Masters of Clinical Epidemiology, specialising in biostatistics, and Masters of Reproductive Medicine, as well as Graduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Medicine. He also holds Master of Health and Medical Law. As well as being in private practice, Alex is a Deputy Director of the Reproductive Biology Unit and senior consultant at the Advanced Laparoscopic Unit at the Royal Women’s Hospital. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne Medical School. His research interests include evidence-based practice, as it relates to fertility treatments, as well as ethical and medico-legal aspects of women’s health.
