Associate Professor Michael Wong is a Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne, Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Western Health and a member of the Epworth Cardiac Sciences Clinical Institute Executive Committee.
A previous recipient of multiple national/international accolades including 1st place Young Investigator Awards from the North American Heart Rhythm Society, World Congress of Cardiology and Ralph Reader Prize from the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand - he maintains an active interest in research currently supervising PhD students. Michael has expertise in cardiac device implantation (leadless pacemakers, conduction system pacing, defibrillators, cardiac resynchronisation therapy) and treatment of complex atrial & ventricular arrhythmias using contemporary catheter ablation techniques.
He is also a regularly invited proctor teaching national & international colleagues in new state-of-the-art cardiac technologies including leadless cardiac pacing.
