Associate Professor Vinay Rane is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in Melbourne. His practice, Melbourne Mothers, is built around a family vision: as Vinay runs his practice with his wife, Dr Chris Sammartino, you may meet their kids or their dog at the practice. As a family working for families, we encourage you to bring your loved ones to appointments. Practice locations are intentionally placed out of the hospital as by having centres in the community where patients live and by having flexible appointments, consultations are less stressful and traffic and parking are less of an issue. Vinay has undertaken attachments at training at institutions in the United States, including the Mayo Clinic, the United Nations and Harvard University where he maintains collaborative relationships. Vinay is a state councillor for the Australian Medical Association and is on the National Association of Specialist Obstetricians and Gynaecologists council. He is a board patron for the Australian World Orchestra.
