Mr. Talia was born and raised in Melbourne, completing his undergraduate Bachelor of Biomedicine (with honours) and then his medical degree (Doctor of Medicine with Distinction) at The University of Melbourne. He was awarded Dean's honours for both of these degrees. Whilst working as a junior doctor, he completed a Masters of Surgery (MS) majoring in research methodology and a Graduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy. During this time he also worked as an Anatomy tutor at The University of Melbourne. He subsequently completed specialist training in Orthopaedic surgery in Victoria, obtaining Fellowship of The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
After completing specialty training in Orthopaedic Surgery, he then travelled overseas with his young family to complete subspecialty fellowship training in Foot & Ankle Surgery at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford, UK. He also completed a clinical and research fellowship at Swiss Ortho Center in Basel, Switzerland.
Adrian's interests lie in all aspects of contemporary foot & ankle surgery including ankle replacement, joint preserving surgery for ankle arthritis, hindfoot fusions and deformity correction, arthroscopic ankle fusion, management of ankle instability and ligament conditions, flatfoot corrective surgery, and management of forefoot conditions such as hallux valgus, hallux rigidus and lesser toe deformity.
Adrian has a keen interest in academia and has presented and published peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals
