Dr Alvin Chung is a Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist.

He completed his Advanced Gastroenterology training at the Austin Hospital and Box Hill Hospital, where he obtained expertise in managing a wide variety of gastroenterology conditions. He then undertook a fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease gaining further experience managing this condition.

In addition to his interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's Disease / Ulcerative Colitis), he has expertise in managing functional gut disorders (including Irritable Bowel Syndrome), liver diseases, and is accredited to perform Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy and Capsule Endoscopy. Alvin is re-certified in colonoscopy through the Gastroenterological Society of Australia.

Alvin is also a senior lecturer with Monash University and Principal Investigator for multinational clinical trials in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, based at Box Hill Hospital.

Dr Alvin Chung consults in Bulleen and Bundoora, and performs procedures at the Epworth Eastern.
