Dr Alvin Pun is an Australian and internationally trained orthopaedic spine surgeon. He has expertise in all regions of the spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacrum and sacroiliac joint), minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery, degenerative disc disease, adult deformities, complex spinal conditions, spinal tumours and disc replacement.

After completing his orthopaedic training in Sydney, Dr Pun undertook four years of advanced spine surgical training in world-renowned spinal centres in Melbourne, Milan, Beijing, and London.

In Melbourne, Dr Pun completed a combined Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery Spinal Fellowship at Austin Hospital and Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Dr Pun also completed a Senior Clinical and Research Spine Fellowship (Complex and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery) at the Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi in Milan before moving to Beijing to undertake a prestigious AO Spine-accredited fellowship at Peking University Third Hospital, one of the largest spine hospitals in China.

Dr Pun continued his spine fellowship by working for a year at Europe's largest orthopaedic hospital — the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust in Stanmore, United Kingdom. Dr Pun also completed a spinal fellowship awarded by the Asia Pacific Spine Society.
