Dr Amira Dkeidek is a general obstetrician gynaecologist with sub-specialist training in paediatric and adolescent gynaecology. She sees patients across the age spectrum from newborns to women in their late post-menopausal years. Dr Dkeidek is committed to holistic, patient-centred care, offering longer appointments and a multi-disciplinary approach to management of complex gynaecologic needs such as persistent pelvic pain and menstrual management in young people with disabilities.

Dr Dkeidek completed medical school at University of Melbourne and underwent Obstetrics & Gynaecology training across multiple sites in Victoria and Queensland. She is trained in basic laparoscopic surgery and surgical management of prolapse and fibroids. She also performs all basic gynaecological procedures including colposcopy for assessment of dysplasia after abnormal cervical screening and insertion of IUDs. Dr Dkeidek's other special interest is early pregnancy bleeding and pain. She holds certification in advanced early pregnancy ultrasound and is involved in the Early Pregnancy Assessment Service at Eastern Health.

Dr Dkeidek has a public appointment at Eastern Health and Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. Her private consulting rooms are in Kew. She is able to conduct consultations via Telehealth when clinically appropriate and can conduct consultations in Arabic where required. Her obstetrics practice is only via the public hospital.
