DrAnthonyDat

Dr Anthony Dat is an Australian trained Urologist. He currently has public appointments as a VMO Urologist at Eastern Health and Alfred Health with a particular focus on complex renal stones and urological cancers. He holds an Adjunct Lecturer position at the Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Sciences, Monash University.

After graduating from medical school at Bond University, he moved to Victoria for surgical training. He completed Urology training via the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) training scheme. He obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2022 where he was awarded the Peter Lawson Award for Best Victorian Registrar. He then completed further subspecialty training in urologic oncology and robotic surgery at Oxford University Hospital NHS Trust, United Kingdom in 2025.

The son of Vietnamese immigrants and raised in country Queensland, Anthony understands the importance of a down-to-earth doctor–patient relationship built on empathy, trust and listening. He prioritises clear communication and takes the time to ensure patients fully understand their condition and treatment options.

Outside work, Anthony enjoys spending time with his young family and cheering on his beloved Brisbane Broncos and Queensland Maroons.
