Dr. Gohar Maqbool is a dual-trained clinical and laboratory haematologist with fellowships from Australia and the UK. He has worked as a Senior Fellow in Stem Cell Transplantation and Immune Effector Cell Therapies at University Hospital Bristol, and as a Consultant in the Blood & Marrow Transplantation (BMT) and Cellular Therapy unit at University Hospital Southampton. He holds certification in Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation from the European Blood and Marrow Transplant Society (EBMT).

He has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented posters at international transplant and CAR-T meetings. As a member of the eVIQ reference committee for BMT and CAR-T, he has contributed to the development of several national protocols.

He holds public appointment at Alfred Health in the BMT and CAR-T therapy unit and also visits GV Health, Shepparton, providing haematology services to regional Victorian patients and expanding clinical trials access.

Dr. Maqbool specialises in all malignant haematological disorders, particularly myeloid neoplasms, lymphomas, and marrow failure syndromes. He also provides consultative haematology advice on general haematology, e.g., anaemias, blood count abnormalities, immune thrombocytopenia, iron deficiency, paraproteinaemia, and thrombotic disorders.

With an extensive background in managing complex haematological malignancies, he is committed to providing exceptional patient-centred care using the latest diagnostic and treatment modalities.
