Dr Hari Wimaleswaran is an experienced respiratory and sleep medicine physician with a special interest in the areas of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchoscopy, lung cancer and bronchiectasis. He also manages patients with non-invasive ventilation requirements and sleep disorders including obstructive sleep apnoea and insomnia.

Hari is also accredited and experienced in both fibreoptic and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) bronchoscopy, as well as pleural procedures holding an additional qualification (CCPU) with the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM).

Hari underwent his physician training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and his respiratory and sleep medicine training at Monash Health and Austin Health. Hari holds both public and private hospital positions and is involved in many research areas including lung cancer, bronchoscopy, silicosis, COVID-19 and sleep disorders. Prior to medicine, Hari was a qualified physiotherapist, fortifying his passion for the provision of multidisciplinary care.
