Dr Jacky Tu is a highly experienced Respiratory & Sleep Physician, dedicated to providing personalised, evidence-based care for patients with breathing and sleep disorders.
With extensive experience in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, having completed his Basic Physician Training and Advanced Physician Training across multiple healthcare services, including Monash Health, Eastern Health, Peninsula Health and Western Health, Dr Tu offers expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of respiratory and sleep conditions from a broad-range of socioeconomic backgrounds.
Through his wide range of clinical experiences, he understands the challenges of access to quality specialist care in outer metropolitan and regional areas. It is for this reason Dr Tu has currently established himself in the outer eastern suburbs can receive high-quality, timely, and affordable medical care without the need for long-distance travel.
In addition to his private consulting work, he also holds a public appointment as the Sleep Fellow at Western Health to further refine his sleep expertise. Dedicated to providing holistic, patient-centred care, he focuses on accurate diagnosis, tailored treatments, and improved health outcomes. In addition to his clinical duties, he is also involved in the education of medical and junior medical staff, including medical student and Basic Physician Training Written and Clinical Examination preparation in his public work. He has received recognition awards from his colleagues across a range of disciplines including medical, nursing and allied health for his collaborative and friendly approach to patient care.
Dr Tu is happy to consult on a broad-range of general respiratory and sleep-related disorders and discuss referrals directly with referring clinicians. His specialty areas of interest include asthma, suppurative lung disease (bronchiectasis) and early diagnosis and management of obstructive sleep apnoea.
When he isn’t working, he enjoys Melbourne’s great brunch and live music scene, gym and walks with his cavoodle puppy Milo.
