Oncoplastic breast surgery

Jocelyn is committed to providing quality, comprehensive and compassionate care to patients specialising in the care of all breast conditions including breast cancer and benign breast conditions.

Jocelyn obtained a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2013. She undertook surgical training at The Austin Hospital followed by fellowships through BreastSurgANZ to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Royal Perth and Fiona Stanley Hospitals.

She is actively involved in both medical education and research having completed a PhD into improving breast cancer screening for which she received an NBCF practitioners grant and a Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Herbert and Gloria Keys Scholarship. She was the 2015 recipient of the John Collins Medal from ANZBCTG for young surgical researchers.

Her research interests include early breast cancer management, patient reported outcome measures (PROMs), risk communication, risk-based screening and DCIS.

Jocelyn is a board member of BreastScreen Victoria and sits on the Scientific Advisory Committee for Breast Cancer Trials. She also works for the St. Vincent's Hospital clinical school co-ordinating medical students research and previously co-ordinated a module for the online University of Sydney Masters in Breast Surgery.

In her free time she loves running, bushwalking, snowboarding, snorkelling and spending time with her family.
