Originally from Scotland, Karen completed high school, and attended university in Australia.

She did go back to Scotland and worked there as a doctor for 4 years and refreshed her accent.

During her final year of obstetric and gynaecology training in Australia, Karen worked as a fellow in maternal fetal medicine.

She started began working in private practice with Dr Lisa Begg 14 years ago, and together they started GROW obstetrics.

Karen focuses on obstetrics in her practice, looking after both normal risk pregnancies as well as higher risk pregnancies. Both of Karen’s children were born with the help of IVF so she has a special interest in pregnancies conceived with the help of IVF.
