Areas of Interest

Dr Kirsten (Kirsty) Walsh is an experienced general paediatrician. She sees children from newborns to 18 years of age with a wide variety of medical problems, including asthma, eczema, growth and development, nutritional issues and constipation. She has particular interests in acute paediatric medicine and neonatal medicine, seeing newborns with a range of issues including prematurity, slow weight gain and feeding issues. She cares for children on the paediatric ward at Epworth Richmond and for babies in special care nursery and on the postnatal ward at Epworth Freemasons. Trained at RCH Melbourne, Kirsten has public appointments at Eastern Health and Northern Health. Kirsty teaches and mentors medical students and undergraduates and regularly teaches paediatric life support. With three young children of her own, Kirsty has a good understanding of the joys and challenges of parenting. She has a pragmatic, holistic approach to caring for unwell children.
