Dr Margaret Fraenkel is a renal physician with an interest in chronic kidney disease and dialysis, poorly controlled hypertension, acute renal failure and glomerulonephritis. She also enjoys the challenge of improving symptoms in patients with complex, multisystem illness. Margaret practises as part of the Eastern Nephrology group located at Epworth Eastern Medical Centre as well as the Eastern Health Integrated Renal Service. Margaret is committed to enabling patients with kidney disease to maximise their quality of life on dialysis and prepare for renal transplantation if appropriate. She also is experienced at providing supportive care for patients who opt not to have renal replacement therapies. Margaret will play a key role in the launch of Epworth Easterns renal dialysis unit which will open in September. Epworth Easterns renal dialysis unit is a brand new purpose-built unit featuring nine state-of-the-art Heamodialysis station designed for comfort to deliver the highest quality dialysis care for patients with chronic and acute renal disease.
