Dr Mehrnoosh (Nu) Dastaran practices the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery including management of impacted teeth; surgical extraction of wisdom teeth; dental implantology; corrective jaw surgery and craniofacial trauma.Nu trained here in Victoria after graduating in Medicine in 2005 (University of Bristol) and Dentistry in 2010 (King's College London) as the highest achieving candidate in both degrees. She subsequently underwent fellowships in orthognathic surgery, and craniofacial trauma and reconstruction, in Melbourne and in London. She has completed a Master of Philosophy by Research in the field of Implantology at the University of Melbourne. She works as a specialist in private practice in Melbourne and Regional Victoria, including Geelong. She also works as a specialist at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. She teaches at the University of Melbourne and is an adjunct senior lecturer at Charles Sturt University.Her technical ability is complemented by her holistic and empathetic approach to patient care. She works closely with dentists and other specialists to provide the best possible tailored treatment options.
