Born in Taiwan, Dr. Michael Chung was raised in Queensland before relocating to Melbourne to study medicine on the National Medicine Scholarship. He is a Mandarin-speaking psychiatrist who trained in Australia. Outside of his job in mental health, he is a passionate sportsman.
He takes a practical and holistic approach to mental health treatment. ADHD, bipolar affective disorder, short-stay psychiatry, first episode psychosis and mania, food as medicine, supplements in psychiatry, internet and gaming use disorders, borderline personality disorder, men's mental health, and working with young adults are his primary areas of interest in psychiatry.
Dr. Chung offers both inpatient and outpatient services at Epworth Camberwell, as well as limited sessions for university students at Monash University's university health service and Deakin University's Deakin Medical Centre.
