Dr Naomi Holbeach is an experienced gynaecologist, a clinical educator, and academic. Her years of extensive training offer her a range of clinical and surgical skills as a general gynaecologist.
Dr Holbeach practices minimally invasive surgical techniques and has a keen academic interest in the advancement of surgical techniques. This interest led to her completing a PhD in bioethics on how we can promote more responsible surgical innovation. Her research and training offered a wealth of opportunities to gain experience and work alongside surgeons at the cutting edge of their field.
Dr Holbeach also holds dual qualifications in law and medicine. This means that she approaches clinical practice mindful of her responsibilities to the whole person seeking care. She places high importance on being timely, thorough, professional, skilful, and compassionate in all her clinical work.
Through years of working in clinical education, she is highly skilled at breaking down problems and explaining complex ideas to a wide variety of audiences. This is particularly helpful for counselling patients with complex problems and assisting them with challenging clinical decisions.
Dr Holbeach is actively engaged with RANZCOG. She is a fellow representative on the Victorian State Committee and involved as an examiner and organising College events, such as the Victoria-Tasmania Symposium and coordinating the Foundations of Surgery Workshop.
