DrRangiDe Silva

Dr.Rangi De Silva is passionate about providing personalised, compassionate, evidence-based and thoughtful care to women in at all stages of life. Rangi practices publicly at the Mercy Hospital for Women and privately at Specialist 145 in Fitzroy. She has a particular interest in management of menstrual disorders, menopause care, fertility, endometriosis, PCOS, vulval health, colposcopy, complex and high-risk pregnancies and offers enhanced postpartum support.

Rangi is deeply committed to research and evidence-based care. She holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne, focusing on maternal mortality, morbidity and stillbirth in the Solomon Islands. She continues her research with Mercy Perinatal and the University of Melbourne, where she is also a Senior Lecturer, mentoring and teaching medical students and junior doctors. She is passionate about patient education and hosts the Mercy Perinatal podcast "Prepare".

With a strong focus on global health and advocacy, Rangi has worked extensively in the Pacific as a World Health Organisation consultant and has contributed to national women's health policy. She is the outgoing Chair of the RANZCOG Global Health Committee and remains actively involved in professional leadership.
