Dr Risako is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist committed to providing personalised, compassionate, and evidence-based care for women through every stage of life.

Trained and qualified in both Australia and Japan, she has extensive experience managing complex obstetric and gynaecological conditions, including minimally invasive surgery and high-risk pregnancies. Prior to relocating to Australia, she worked as a consultant at a leading university hospital in Tokyo. She also holds a PhD in Medicine and has published multiple scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals.

Since moving to Melbourne, Dr Risako has completed advanced specialist training and currently holds a public appointment at Eastern Health, where she provides comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care while also teaching and supervising junior doctors.

Her dual international training allows her to bring a broad, culturally informed perspective to women's healthcare. She has a special interest in general gynaecology, including menstrual and hormonal disorders, contraception, menopause, cervical screening and colposcopy, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and minimally invasive surgery.
