Ryan is an Australian and internationally trained Upper GI and general surgeon who has commenced both public and private practice in Melbourne. After completing general surgery training through Austin Health, he undertook a further 3 years of advanced fellowship training in both HPB and Upper GI surgery. His final year was spent at Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals (London, UK), where he was awarded a 12-month senior clinical fellowship in minimally invasive and robotic oesophagogastric cancer surgery, endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He consults privately onsite at Epworth Hospital, in addition to a public appointment as consultant surgeon with Upper GI and General Surgery Unit (UGIG) at Western Health. Ryan is happy to see both insured and uninsured patients for all general surgery conditions, in addition to both benign and malignant oesophageal and gastric conditions.
