A/Prof Abbas is a General Surgeon with subspecialty in surgery of the pancreas, liver, gall bladder and bile duct. He trained as a General surgeon FRACS, with Doctor of Medicine Uni of Auckland, with subspecialty training in surgery of the liver and the pancreas. ANZHPBA Fellow. He is a laparoscopic surgeon with a wide spectrum of expertise including laparoscopic hernia repair, laparoscopic adrenal, spleen, pancreas and gall bladder surgery. A/Prof Abbas has particular interests in cancers of the liver and metastatic bowel cancer and pancreatic tumours and cancers of the gall bladder and the bile duct.
