Sam was born and raised in Geelong and is delighted to have returned to the region to provide ENT services to this amazing community.

Sam spent his junior medical years at the Alfred Hospital and affiliated hospitals throughout Victoria. He was then accepted into Advanced Surgical Training in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery, working in hospitals throughout Victoria and the North Island of New Zealand.

After obtaining his Fellowship qualification through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS – OHNS) Sam pursued further ENT subspecialty fellowship training in Rhinology (Nose, Sinus, Skull Base surgery and Rhinoplasty) at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Royal Melbourne Hospitals Melbourne, then in Paediatric ENT Surgery at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne. He was subsequently appointed as a Consultant ENT Specialist at the Royal Children's Hospital.

Sam moved to Southern Queensland and ran a busy solo practise for 18 months with ongoing work at the Royal Children's Hospital in a FIFO role.

Sam was then appointed to the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) Advanced Surgical Fellowship program in Thyroid Surgery and Head & Neck Cancer Surgery at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, United Kingdom. During this time, he undertook subspeciality training in remote and minimal access (transoral endoscopic) thyroid surgery (TOETVA/TOEPVA) and complex thyroid and parathyroid surgery, learning from world-renowned surgeons and using cutting edge technology.
