Sam's clinical interests include pelvic pain, endometriosis, management of benign pelvic masses and heavy menstrual bleeding. She is an accredited AGES Level 6 Laparoscopic Surgeon. Sam finds joy in providing patient-focused and evidence-based care to women with a range of gynaecological concerns. She endeavours to be a kind and thorough doctor, maintaining a calm and personal atmosphere. Sam is an active clinical researcher, with interests in pelvic pain and endometriosis, hysteroscopic techniques and surgical education. Sam is involved with a team recently awarded a substantial MRFF grant to support research into the diagnosis and management of endometriosis. Sam was awarded the Inaugural AGES/Hologic Travelling Fellowship for Hysteroscopic surgery and travelled to the Netherlands to observe certain surgical techniques, and establish the foundations for a multinational research study. Sam is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery (AGES) Society. When not working, Sam enjoys being outside in the sunshine with her husband, two children and dog (Mr Pinot). Her favourite food is tiramisu.
Sam is an affiliated gynaecologist with the Julia Argyrou Endometriosis Centre at Epworth.
