Dr Sophia Richardson manages conditions of the mouth (oral), jaw (maxillo-), and face, and is committed to excellence in all aspects of her craft. She has a keen interest in orthognathic 'corrective jaw' surgery and oral surgery including surgical extractions and dental implants.
Sophia obtained her Dental and Medical degrees from The University of Melbourne (2000 and 2006), and was award her speciality fellowship in 2012 after completing the vigorous OMS training program. She undertook further subspecialisation in orthognathic 'corrective jaw' surgery at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (2012), and at The Oxford University Hospitals Trust, United Kingdom (2013-2014).
Sophia is committed to excellence in all aspects of her craft, and values time with patients to discover the best course for their treatment. She understands that having surgery is not just about the technical aspects of the procedure itself - although this is vitally important - but Sophia believes it is essential to also provide a supportive environment for every patient to make a considered and informed decision. Sophia has cultivated a team who shares this philosophy and together, they strive to help each patient through their unique treatment journey.
