Dr Thomas Goodwin is a specialist Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who completed his MBBS (Hons) at Monash University in 2018. He undertook Gastroenterology advanced training at Alfred Health and Monash Health, including a subspecialty hepatology fellowship at The Alfred. He also completed a BMedSc (Hons) in medical ethics at the University of Oxford in 2017.
Tom consults at the Melbourne Centre for Gastroenterology and works as a VMO Gastroenterologist at The Alfred in hepatology and endoscopy. He is experienced in managing liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), iron deficiency and bowel cancer prevention. He performs gastroscopy, colonoscopy and FibroScan.
Tom is currently completing a PhD through Alfred Health and Monash University on primary sclerosing cholangitis. He performs endoscopic procedures at Epworth Eastern and is happy to be contacted directly by referring practitioners for urgent or complex cases.
