MrBaNguyen

Mr Ba Nguyen is a fellowship-trained specialist colorectal and general surgeon with expertise in bowel cancer, hernia repair, anorectal conditions and diagnostic endoscopy. He is trained in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgical techniques, including the da Vinci platform.

Mr Nguyen completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne and surgical training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, receiving Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2012. He also holds a Master of Surgery from the University of Sydney. After serving as Staff Specialist Surgeon at Westmead Hospital, he completed two further years of post-fellowship colorectal training through CSSANZ.

He is Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and Director of the Colorectal Surgery Training Program at Austin Health. He holds VMO appointments at Warringal Private Hospital and Epworth Eastern Hospital, and consults from rooms at 50 Mount Street, Heidelberg.

Mr Nguyen is a strong advocate of shared decision-making and provides compassionate, evidence-based surgical care with a focus on clear communication and the best possible outcomes for each patient.
