Mr Nair is a Neurosurgeon with interests in brain and spine tumours and surgical treatment for degenerative disease, deformities and trauma of the spine. His interests include neurooncology, hydrocephalus and peripheral nerve surgery.
He has completed fellowships in Functional Neurosurgery and a Complex Spine Surgery Fellowship.
Mr Nair is skilled at using advanced techniques such as neuronavigation, robotics and endoscopy as adjuncts to achieve best outcomes for his patients. Mr Nair offers minimally invasive surgical techniques when appropriate and as indicated.
Mr Nair works with the team at Epworth to offer “Frameless Image guided asleep deep brain stimulation” for conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease and are the only team in Australia that provide this technique.
