Mr Vikram Iyer is a qualified vascular and endovascular surgeon offering a range of management options for the full spectrum of vascular conditions. He is equally adept with traditional open surgery and minimally-invasive endovascular treatments, in addition to non-operative strategies to manage vascular disease. He has a special interest in medical and surgical management of aortic aneurysms and dissections, and has published extensively on this subject. He is also interested in limb salvage techniques for patients with chronic limb threatening ischaemia and advanced diabetic foot pathology.

Mr Iyer completed a MPhil through the University of Queensland, researching the epigenetics of abdominal aortic aneurysm, and has presented at local, national, and international conferences. He remains abreast of new developments in the world of vascular surgery by continuing to participate in research, reading peer-reviewed journal articles and attending scientific meetings. He is passionate about teaching: he was co-convenor of the annual vascular surgery trainee skills course in Melbourne in 2023 and is currently the supervisor of vascular surgery training at Northern Health. He also has public clinical appointments at The Alfred and Western Health.

Mr Iyer also speaks French, Hindi, Tamil, Urdu and Marathi.
