Dr Perrin is a Cardiologist and Heart Rhythm Specialist (Cardiac Electrophysiologist) trained at St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney, and Ottawa Canada. He completed a PhD at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute followed by postdoctoral research into inherited arrhythmia syndromes at the Ottawa Heart Institute, Canada. His subspeciality includes the advanced management of atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmia with catheter ablation. He also implants a wide range of devices including pacemakers, cardiac resynchronisation devices, and defibrillators. He has a special interest in genetic arrhythmia syndromes including Long and Short QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome, Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia, and Arrhythmogenic Cardiomyopathy, and attends the Cardiac Genetic Clinic and Inherited Arrhythmia Clinic at Royal Melbourne Hospital. His private consulting rooms are in Geelong.
