About
Dr Paul Urquhart is a Gastroenterologist with a special interest in advanced endoscopy procedures. Completing his undergraduate and specialist training in Melbourne, Dr Urquhart was awarded an advanced endoscopy fellowship St Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Canada.
During his fellowship, Dr Urquhart developed a particular interest in advanced endoscopy techniques including ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, treatment of Barrett's Oesophagus and colonic polypectomy.
Dr Urquhart is the Head of Endoscopy at Eastern Health and maintains a keen interest in medical education, clinical research and professional development. Dr Urquhart manages a wide range of conditions across all aspects of Gastroenterology including IBS, gastro-oesophageal reflux, coeliac disease, Barrett's oesophagus and colonic polyps. He offers a compassionate and caring service, and believes that good communication is essential to providing quality medical care.
