About
Dr Rekha Ganeshalingam is an Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon specialising in both adult and paediatric conditions. Her general orthopaedic training was complemented by time spent at the SickKids hospital, Toronto, Starship children's hospital New Zealand and the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne. Rekha spends time advocating for diversity and flexibility in the orthopaedic training system as well as mentoring junior doctors and medical students. She holds a public appointment at University Hospital, Geelong and an Honorary position at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne. Dr Ganeshalingam completed Orthopaedic fellowship training in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victorian hospitals. She has been involved in the development of Clinical Practice Guidelines at both the Royal Children's hospital, Melbourne and SickKids Hospital, Toronto. Her research involvement extends to publications in international medical journals and ongoing development of local projects to optimise patient care.
