About
Dr. Stephen Cole specialises in low to high risk pregnancy care, multiple pregnancies, recurrent miscarriage, maternally-assisted caesarean section, maternal-fetal medicine and fetal surgery. Taking a holistic approach to pregnancy care, Dr. Stephen Cole always ensures that both mother and baby receive the best possible prenatal and postnatal care. He also has a midwife in his practise who provides wellness advice, birth planning and breastfeeding support. Dr Cole takes private appointments at Epworth Freemasons Private Hospital. He also has a public appointment at the Royal Women's Hospital, where he is Head of the Multiple Pregnancy Clinic, and Head of Fetal Surgery. He teaches trainee obstetricians, and is the Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) training at the hospital, where he trains specialists in caring for women with high risk and complex pregnancies. He is also an active clinical researcher, and has a number of articles published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
