Richard Gerraty is a stroke neurologist. He was the founding director of the Acute Stroke Unit at St Vincents Hospital and has also had appointments in clinical stroke and stroke research at Royal Melbourne and the Alfred. He has been involved in many of the major international acute stroke trials, as well as a number of local investigator-driven trials in stroke, and at Epworth he is Director of the Stroke Unit and continues with clinical trials and his own research in acute vertigo, TIA and cerebral amyloid angiopathy.
