About

Launching your career as a graduate

As a newly registered nurse and midwife, whether you know exactly where you want your career to go or still exploring possibilities, Epworth supports all graduates in transitioning to independence and excellence in their clinical practice.

At Epworth, we care about our people and their career development. Through the Brookes Academy, Nursing and Midwifery we are dedicated to cultivating and nurturing the development of our nursing talent to meet the needs of the Victorian community.

Epworth promotes and provides access to:

  • Skills and education training
  • Leadership and Advanced Clinical pathways
  • Scholarships to further support knowledge and career development

Why do most graduate nurses choose to stay at Epworth after completing the program?

At Epworth, we are proud to say nine out of ten of our graduate nurses and midwives continue working with us once they have completed their graduate programs. Our graduates have commented this is due to:

  • Consistency of support available to graduate nurses and all staff
  • Diverse range of clinical experiences
  • High-quality education received throughout their graduate year
  • Sense of belonging through collegiality and shared values
It has been invaluable to be a part of the Graduate Support Program this year. The foundation of support provided by Epworth was the main motivating factor when deciding to engage in the program.
